This original art piece was created by Brenda Wathen Wick, an accomplished artist and close friend of Vernon Presley and Sandy Miller (Elvis’s longtime girlfriend). Brenda is the only known artist to have multiple artworks permanently displayed inside Vernon Presley’s office at Graceland. Over the years, Brenda gifted several original oil paintings and prints to Elvis, Vernon, and Sandy. Five of her original artworks were chosen by Vernon and Sandy to hang in his office at Graceland, where they remain displayed today. Visitors touring Graceland can see four of Brenda’s pieces through the glass viewing window of Vernon’s office on the far-right wall. The fifth piece is located just around the corner inside the room, completing the set of five works that Vernon personally kept and cherished. Brenda Wathen Wick’s art represents a rare intersection of Elvis history and fine art, reflecting genuine friendships within the Presley circle and a documented presence inside Graceland itself.
